Anatolia is and always will be one of Bloomington’s favorite foreign restaurants. The Turkish restaurant caters to those with specific diets and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure that vegetarians and vegans have delicious food to order. Anatolia’s inclusive menu even helped it win the “Best Middle Eastern Food” award for the Bloomington Spoonie Awards 2015.

One of Anatolia’s best features is the lunch buffet – open from 11 am to 3 pm Wednesday through Friday. During the hours of the buffet Anatolia offers a selection of 24 hot and cold dishes.

Sibel Karakokcek, owner of Anatolia, explained that the reason why there are so many dishes to choose from is so that whoever comes in to enjoy the buffet will leave full and satisfied.

Sibel is a part of Indiana University’s VegIU organization; a club for those interested in vegetarianism and veganism. Upon joining the group, Sibel adjusted some of the dishes so that her fellow vegetarian and vegan members could further enjoy the restaurant’s cuisine.
